Craiglist's Missed Connections - A Test of Fate

In theory, missed connections, the website where you look for someone that you may have had a connection with in person but did not exchange contacts, is a cute idea that reminds me much of the movie Serendipity. It's romantic to think that you could have a second chance at that hottie you exchanged glances with at the mall, but were too shy to approach. But even I, formerly the cheesiest of the cheeseballs, will admit that it's practically impossible for anything meaningful to come out of this. First of all, there aren't enough people posting on there, so you're probably not going to see a post about you. But even if a lot of people started posting, you run into the problem of too many entries, and a person just isn't going to look through every single one. And who's to say that the person you're looking for has access to the Internet, let alone peruses the "missed connections" page? The logic behind the website is flawed, and it leaves you with only a minute possibilty to reunite with the one. However, for the rare few who happens to find that special person, albeit an mathematical anomaly, "missed connections" would have provided them the opportunity to reunite that they wouldn't otherwise have had before.

Syntax Olevia 26" LCD TV in April

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usSyntax Olevia is gaining popularity as the best value LCD TV on the market, sporting good image quality for a low price. Reviews for their previous lineups have been quite favorable, so that's why I'm can't wait for their new $899 26", the LT26HVE, to come out. I got word straight from their sales rep that it will be available in retail channels in early April. I will be the first to pick one up. Unless I'm the second, in which case, I lied.
