Since this is the buzz word today, here ya go. Digg. I see it as a medium between Slashdot and Google News, but this is how they describe themselves:
Digg is a technology news website that employs non-hierarchical editorial control. With digg, users submit stories for review, but rather than allowing an editor to decide which stories go on the homepage, the users do.

Why do children in developing nations need laptops?

GoogleBase

Another new feature from Google, the GoogleBase.
Google Base is a place where you can add all types of information that we'll host and make searchable online.

Wired looks at it as something that will compete with Craigslist and eBay, and methinks they're onto something.
An ambitious new Google service lets anyone upload most anything to a publicly searchable database, potentially laying the groundwork for a foray by the internet juggernaut into classified advertising.
